Building a Spectrum of Hope
The dedicated team behind Autism Meets Faith is a rich tapestry of diverse talents and experiences, carefully assembled to serve the unique needs of the children in our care. Comprising individuals with a wealth of experience in business, social services, and special education, the team includes Daphne Smith, Theresa and David Heidelmark, Char Akala, and Holly and Michael Odogwu. Together, they work tirelessly to build a spectrum of hope for those they serve.
Our passion for autistic children is rooted in deep personal experience. When my daughter was diagnosed with autism at the age of four, we did not know what to expect as a family. There was a lot of information out there, but none was personalized for a working mother of four children. The challenges were real, and the expenses kept piling up. Through prayer and hard work, we were able to put her through a series of early intervention therapies, and my husband and I slowly adapted to being "autism" parents.
We resolved to assist other parents with children on the spectrum to cross the many hurdles and difficulties we went through. Besides the emotional and psychological toll of raising an autistic child, the expenses can be overwhelming, especially for low-income families.
Autism Meets Faith is an organization driven by compassion for the children and families we serve. Thank you for partnering with us to make this dream a reality.

"I just want to say thank you again to Autism Meets Faith and the CRT service. I can’t wait until my babies open their gifts from Santa on Christmas morning. I feel so much more at ease… Y’all have truly given me the greatest gift as a parent."
