THE HEART BEHIND THE NAME
Meet Faith.
When Faith was diagnosed with autism, our family entered a world we did not yet understand. We had questions, fears, and very little sense of where to begin. Like so many parents, we found ourselves searching for answers, trying to understand the diagnosis, and learning how to find the right resources and support for our daughter.
What began as a personal search slowly became a journey of learning. We researched, asked questions, connected with professionals and families, and discovered resources that helped us become more confident and resourceful parents. Over time, we began to find our footing.
But we never forgot how overwhelming those early days felt.
We realized that many other families were standing where we once stood—trying to make sense of autism, searching for trustworthy information, and wondering where to turn next. We knew we could use what we had learned to help make that journey a little less lonely and a little easier to navigate.
That is how Autism Meets Faith was born: from one family's journey, and a decision to help other families find connection, resources, support, and hope.
And the name Faith is personal. It is our daughter's name—the young girl whose journey inspired the work we now share with families across our community. Autism Meets Faith is a community nonprofit named in her honor; the name reflects our family's story, not a religious affiliation.
